If I was a fascist...

I would create a movement to "make America Great Again"

If I was a fascist, I would lead a movement that would convince the American people that the other side wants to destroy the country. I would make up false evidence of how the other side wants to destroy the country and this would convince millions of Americans that it it is real.

If I was a fascist, I would first try to convince the American people to distrust and disbelief everything they are told by the institutions of the government, the mainstream media, and any others that claim to be an authority on anything that I don't agree with. If I was a fascist, I would seek to convince Americans that they can't trust anyone about anything except for what they hear from me and those who support me, because we would be the only ones telling the truth while everyone else is selling them a bill of goods

If I was a fascist, I would get people to distrust any facts reported in the media and I would come up with alternative facts that they would trust instead. I would get them to distrust anything they were taught in our schools and our institutions of higher education and create alternative information that they would trust instead.

If I was a fascist, I would get Americans to distrust every single political poll or survey and to believe that all of that is fake data. Additionally, I would create fake polls that show the right data and the people would believe those because they would be the alternative to the polls that I would discredit and devalue. If I were fascist, I would convince people that the polls showing the other party of winning are fake and the fake polls that show my party is winning are real. If I was a fascist, I would make real information seem fake so fake information would seem more real. And when others would criticize this approach, I would play the both sides are doing it card and confuse people as to which side is right and which side is wrong and dismiss much of it is only being a matter of mere opinion.

If I was a fascist I would build a movement that would take over one of the two major political parties and move it in the direction of fascism. I would use this political party to demonize the other one and expose the other party as trying to destroy the country while the party that I took over would be the only party and movement that could save the country from the extremists of the other side.

If I was a fascist, I would coopt corporate support to help build my party and fundraising for the candidates and party organizations that would be built in order to win enough us to be competitive. I would sell this fascist bill of goods to the corporate interests because I would say that this is in their interest while the other side is trying to, while they're destroying the country, is working to destroy them. I would convince the corporate interests that not only would my movement benefit them but it is the only way that they would continue to prosper is if my side wins political power.

As this movement gained political power in one of the parties, we would create a false populist message to get public support while demonizing the other side as Elites that are out of touch and out of control and are destroying the country. This movement would accuse the other side of trying to steal elections while we would do everything we could to make sure that our side wins elections and the other side loses them.

If I was a fascist, I would undermine confidence in elections themselves so that anytime the other side wins my side would tell the American people that they stole the election and that they engaged in massive fraud and that the wins by the other side are not legitimate. After accusing the other side of cheating to win elections, I would propose measures, that I would label with the magic words elections integrity, because who could be against elections integrity, and would seek the enacting of legislation that would make it tougher for those who vote against our candidates to win elections while making it more likely that our side wins those elections.

If I were a fascist, I would urge that we would pass a variety of legislation under the banner of elections integrity that would change the very way our elections are conducted. I would target groups of voters that I know vote mostly for the other side and make it tougher for them to vote by having fewer voting locations and drop boxes in the areas where they live and make it much easier to vote in the areas where those voters who support my party are more likely to vote in. By making sure that most of the voters who turn out and vote are those voting for the candidates I support, our side would win if we could be successful in choosing our voters rather than voters choosing our leaders. If I were a fascist, I would say this is election Integrity, and anything else is an effort by the other side to steal elections. I would say our measures make it easy to vote and hard to cheat while they actually make it harder for people to vote and easier for my side to cheat.

If I were a fascist, this movement that I would create that would win these elections would then use that power to consolidate that power and make it even more likely that our side would win every election and definitely into the future all by proclaiming that we would forever outlaw the massive election fraud and cheating that the other side does and we would never allow them to steal another election again. In the meantime while claiming this we would ensure that our side always wins. Because anything other than our side winning would be anti-democratic and we would always side with what we say is democracy.

If I was a fascist, I would create national news networks that would put out our propaganda and would drown out the news reporting of the mainstream media Outlets that we demonized and discredited and devalued. I would make fake news seems real so that the real news looks fake. The fake news would be so popular that people would believe it's the real news and would be convinced that what we say the news is is really the news. Any effort to debunk our fake news would be discredited as partisanship of the other side. We would dominate the market for news and people would believe what our networks would report rather than those of the mainstream media outlets that we discredited.

If I were fascist, I would appeal to the American people and Inspire them to support a return to a past that probably hasn't really ever existed but that nostalgic attachment to what I would tell them what our country used to be would be what we would aspire to be in the present and in the future. I would tell them that by supporting our movement and electing our candidates that we would make America great again.

If I was a fascist, I would make sure that we not only won those elections but anyone who disagrees would be the enemy of America and would be discredited devalued and even if necessary to be put in jail for standing up to an opposing what we believe in. Our leaders in Congress would conduct investigations against anyone that opposed us and we would even see criminal prosecutions for anyone who stood on our way. We would completely destroy anyone who stood against the fascism that we would be leading the country towards.

If I was a fascist, I would encourage political violence against the other side and that violence occurred I would blame the other side for inciting it. I would encourage everyone on our side to purchase firearms and be ready to defend themselves and when the other side engages in violence, our people would have every right to defend themselves. I would instill division and hatred so that it would be inevitable that the other side would engage in violence against our side, that would give us a reason to be even more violent in defending our side and our rights and our way of life. I would make sure that whenever violence breaks out that the other side would always be blamed in our media outlets for causing the violence and being the ones that are truly violent, even in the instances where people on our side actually caused the violence.

And when our society becomes more polarized and divisive in our political disagreements ever, I would make sure the other side is always blamed for the partisanship and divisiveness, and not our side. If I were a fascist, I would make sure that the other side is always portrayed as far more extreme than our side and we would be the reasonable ones compared to the extremists on the other side that are trying to destroy the country. How could the American people view us as being anything but reasonable when we are the ones trying to save the country and preserve our way of Life as We Know it. Of course my side would be the reasonable side and the other side would be the extremists.

If I were a fascist, I would blame the other side that is trying to destroy the country as being to blame for every crisis and everything that goes wrong in the country. Whether it is unemployment, or inflation, or corruption in government, or anything else, I would amplify on our fake news networks the message that the other side, the ones that are trying to destroy the country, are the ones to blame for all of this and the only way to fix these problems is to elect our side. We would not have to have any real ideas or agenda on how to fix this, we would just have to convince a majority of the American people that the other side is to blame.

If our a fascist, the moment I created that one power would maintain that power by constantly accusing the other side of trying to not only destroy the country but destroy the very movement that I created that would gain that power. Every effort to hold us accountable for anything we did would be portrayed as a witch hunt in an effort to take us back to the battle days when the other side was destroying the country. We will make clear that we didn't save the country from those who seek to destroy it only to allow them to gain power and once again start destroying the country again like they were doing.

If I were a fascist, anyone who speaks out against what we're doing would be silenced and we would see to it that they are silenced and the name of freedom and the right of free speech. After all, the First Amendment doesn't protect the right to engage in libel and slander against our movement and our people, and we would make sure of this through the force of government if necessary. Anyone who tells the truth about what we're doing would be labeled as agents of disinformation and they would be silenced. Because we know that the American people can't be told the truth about we're doing and they would only be told what we want them to know and believe about our side.

If I was a fascist, I would enthusiastically join and support the current Republican Party as it is operating right now. If I was a fascist, I would not advise the GOP to change anything about what they're doing right now at all. I would be 100 percent in support of the current Republican party as it is constituted and as it is operating right now.
